PERSONAL ALARM

Actall Corp. offers the Personal Alarm Location Systems 9000 and L2L, the most recent additions to its line of personal duress systems. The units use handheld devices known as personal mobile transmitters that utilize both radio frequency and infrared signals to locate persons in duress situations.

The handheld device is designed to set off a “man down” alarm when the panic button is pressed, the breakaway cord is pulled, or the device is tilted more than 60 degrees. The device then wirelessly transmits its location in real time to Actall’s Crisis Controller Alert Monitoring software.

The personal duress system operates on the 900Mhz spread spectrum. Wireless RF repeaters are also available, which require 14-8 VAC for extended coverage in larger facilities and heavily constructed buildings. The alarm system can also be integrated with audio and video coverage, using intercom and CCTV.
