Convex Mirror

The DuraVision mirror from Norix Group is a convex polycarbonate security mirror designed to ensure the safety of both inmates and personnel in correctional facilities.

Intended as a deterrent for inmate suicide and as a means of keeping staff safe, the product allows security personnel to monitor inmate activity inside cells, corridors, recreation areas, day rooms, hallways and outdoor areas.

When mounted on the wall opposite the cell door, the dome mirror allows staff to see inmates through the viewing window before entering, reducing the risk of a surprise attack once inside.

The mirrors are reinforced with high-density foam and a steel frame. The products’ durability helps prevent inmates from breaking the mirror and using it for self mutilation or as a weapon.
