ENGLEWOOD, Ohio — Composite Armor Services has introduced a Web site to provide information on the Defender series of body armor.

The Web site gives complete details of Defender vests, including vest measurements, test data and product comparison.

The vests are fully stab- and slash-proof, according to the company. They are fully encapsulated and are impermeable to perspiration, oil, water, heat and other environmental factors. The armor provides 224 square inches of protection and the panels are fully serviceable after repeated incidents. Protective plates in the vests can be easily removed for laundering or replacement of the carrier vests.

They include multi-layer composite material to meet NIJ Class I, Class II, and Class IIIa specifications and are covered under a 25-year warranty. They can be useful to correctional officers, security personnel, law enforcement, diplomats, politicians and others.
