Jacobs Engineering Acquires Carter & Burgess

PASADENA, Calif. — Jacobs Engineering Group is expected to complete the acquisition of Texas-based design services firm Carter & Burgess.


The addition of Carter & Burgess represents a strategic step for Jacobs, allowing the group to extend its presence in the high-growth southern and western markets of the United States , officials say. The acquisition also enhances Jacobs’ capabilities in the area of mission-critical buildings, while broadening the group’s integrated service offerings and expertise.


With revenues of almost $8 billion, Jacobs Engineering, which employs almost 50,000 people at 160 offices in more than 20 countries, provides technical, professional and construction services to industrial, commercial and government clients across multiple markets.
