DLR Group, a full-service design firm that focuses on justice, education, corporate and sports facilities, announced the addition of Darrell Stelling, AIA, as the new justice sector leader in the firm’s Sacramento, Calif., office. He has been with the company for more than 10 years and transferred from DLR’s Omaha, Neb., office. The firm also promoted several employees to principal. Karl Derrah, AIA, of the Phoenix office, has been the lead designer on several projects; Jeff Fenimore is a leader in the firm’s Minneapolis-based practice; Kevin Greischar is a leader in the Kansas City region; and Tom Mitchell, business development leader, has been with the Overland Park, Kansas City, office for six years. Martin Berglund, AIA, LEED AP, a member of the Omaha-based firm’s justice team, specializes in state and private correctional facilities, law enforcement facilities and county jails, focusing mainly on programming, predesign and schematic design. In addition, Timothy Gibson, AIA, of the firm’s Orlando, Fla., office, has spent his 19-year architectural career specializing in justice, correctional and government facilities.

Durrant Group, a full-service architecture and engineering firm appointed Damon K. Leverett, AIA, as director of design at the firm’s Phoenix office. He has more than 23
years experience in mixed-use planning and design in the commercial, healthcare and higher education markets.

Construction management and design/build company Moss and Associates LLC, of Ocala, Fla., promoted Ross Cooper to operations manager for its corrections division. He will oversee operations for all correctional projects, providing leadership, training and support for the project teams. He has 31 years of experience in the corrections industry and has completed 43 correctional facility projects throughout the United States.

Healy, Bender & Associates Inc., an architecture, engineering and planning services firm in Naperville, Ill., promoted Dave Patton from project manager to principal. He has been with the firm for 14 years and will continue as the firm’s director of production.

Randy Gibson, SE, PE, was appointed president of Chicago-based architecture firm PSA-Dewberry. He previously served as the firm’s Mid-west regional manager and has been with the firm for more than 20 years. He has experience with design, project management and office management.

Catherine DeWitt, director of marketing for JDavis Architects, an architecture, landscape architecture and interior design firm based in Raleigh, N.C., was certified as a professional services marketer from the Society for Professional Services Marketing. She has more than eight years of marketing experience in the architectural, engineering and construction industries. In addition, Laura Ewan joined the firm as marketing coordinator. She will be responsible for coordinating internal employee communication, preparing presentation materials and supporting the marketing department in external operations. Michael P. Hanson joined the firm as a project manager. He will be responsible for the design, layout, documentation and coordination of multiple projects at the firm’s new Philadelphia studio.

Portland, Ore.-based architecture, interior design and planning firm Hennebery Eddy Architects Inc. hired three new staff members. Steve Eggleston, who has more than 13 years of experience with project design, joined the firm as project architect. Steven Sandstrom and Kathy Aulwes were hired as project designers.

Suffolk Construction Co. Inc., a general building contractor located in Irvine, Calif., announced several hires. The company appointed Dave Cavecche general manager of its West Coast division. He has more than 20 years of commercial construction experience. Jake Jones, Sam Laham and Ali Fadavi were appointed operations managers.

Cannon Design, an architecture, planning and design firm specializing in the healthcare, government and education markets, appointed Craig Booth, AIA, LEED AP, associate principal at the company’s Los Angeles office. He has more than 22 years of design experience. In addition, Raymon Soto, LC, joined the company’s Buffalo, N.Y., office as the lighting design specialist. He has more than 30 years of experience as an electrical designer.

HRG, a consulting firm headquartered in Harrisburg, Pa., that provides engineering, surveying and construction administration services, promoted Doug Weikel, P.E., to manage the operations of its civil service group. He formerly served as the regional manager of the civil service group in the State College office. His experience includes municipal planning, construction management, contract administration, and site design.

Kenny Oyler was promoted to director of the Monster Separation Systems division at Costa Mesa, Calif.-based JWC Environmental, a manufacturer and provider of services for wastewater treatment. He has worked in the wastewater industry since 1980, including employment with IDI, FMC and US Filters.

Robert Goble, principal at Carter Goble Lee LLC, of Columbia, S.C., was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Corrections and Prisons Association at the 9th annual general meeting and conference held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Halco Lighting Technologies, a manufacturer of lamps and ballasts designed for commercial and residential applications, appointed Ernest L. Johnson product manager. He will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the halogen lamp product lines.

Tilt-Con Corporation, of Orlando, Fla., a supplier of tilt-up concrete construction, appointed Carla Getz estimator and Chris Paren assistant project engineer.

Patrick Murphy joined New York-based Sabre Integrated Security Systems, a security systems facilitator that provides site survey, risk analysis, specification, design, installation, training and ongoing preventive maintenance. Prior to joining the company, he was an area manager with CitiGroup’s security investigative services division.

Sodexho, a provider of integrated food and facilities management services headquartered in Gaithersburg, Md., appointed James Taylor president of the company’s U.S. Senior Services Division. He has been with the company for six years and has more than 24 years of experience in the food service industry.

UltraViolet Devices Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of UV and molecular filtration products headquartered in Valencia, Calif., promoted Martin G. Albert to national sales manager for distribution. With more than 20 years experience in business development and management, he will be responsible for the regional sales team and developing channel partner plans.

Steven Roofing Systems, a supplier of commercial roofing membranes headquartered in Holyoke, Mass., appointed Peter Kesser vice president of sales and marketing. With more than 20 years of management experience, he will be responsible for overseeing all domestic sales and marketing activities, including management of the company’s direct and indirect sales force.

Unger Enterprises Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of professional cleaning tools, hired Brian Alexson as vice president of sales. In his new position, he will be responsible for the company’s inside and channel sales departments and customer service. Prior to joining the company, he worked for Service Master for 17 years.
