International arhitectural design firm HOK appointed Gerry Faubert, CET, LEED AP, vice president and director of integrated design. Faubert, who will work out of the firm’s Toronto office, is tasked with leading the integration of high-performance project design solutions to optimize sustainable outcomes.

HDR Architecture Inc. promoted Jeffrey Bradley, PSP, to company office vice president. Bradley has more than 20 years of project experience in the justice, civic and industrial markets and also serves as civic/justice program director for the central region.

AECOM Design promoted Brian Vodzak, P.E., to director of engineering. Vodzak joined the architectural, engineering and construction services firm in 1996. The firm, based in Virginia Beach, Va., also announced Steve Lowe, P.E., LEED AP, was named mechanical engineering department manager. Architect John Harris, AIA; financial analyst Eric Ziemer; and administrative assistant Kim Hopwood also joined the firm.

HGA Inc., an architectural and engineering firm headquartered in Minneapolis, announced Stanley Pehling, Chad O’Donnell, Paula Verboomen and Sean Collins were appointed to associate vice president at various offices. HGA also hired Suzanne Currie to serve the firm’s lean consulting practice. The firm promoted Heloisa Botelho, LEED AP; Tim Duffy, LEED AP; Edith Jeon and Dang Nguyen to associate at its Sacramento, Calif., office.
Jeffrey Geiger, DE, PSP, joined the Denver office of Colorado-based firm MKK Consulting Engineers Inc. Geiger will be responsible for multi-discipline project management, security engineering and business development in the justice market.

HKS Inc., a Dallas-based architectural, engineering, planning and interior design services firm, promoted Doug Compton, LEED AP, and Roy Gunsolus, LEED AP, to principal.

Michael Burton, P.E., joined architectural, engineering and construction management firm LiRo Group as senior vice president and national operations manager. Former executive deputy commissioner of the New York Department of Design and Construction, Burton most recently served as national operations manager at URS Corp.

California-based HMC Architects appointed Pasqual Gutierrez, AIA, director of architecture. Pasqual is director for the AIA California Council and also serves on the board of directors for the California Architects Board.

Rosser International promoted James Pritchett, P.E., to manager of the systems engineering group in the firm’s criminal justice division. Pritchett, who has more than 16 years of electrical design and construction administration experience, will manage the design and production of security, life safety and communications systems for a range of building types.

New Hampshire architectural firm Kaestle Boos Associates named Ken Costello, ASLA, as principal. Costello is also licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Michelle Dremmer, LEED AP, joined the Chicago office of international design firm Perkins Eastman as an associate principal. She brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, with a specialty in interior architecture.

Wight & Company, an integrated architecture, engineering and construction firm, hired Albert Mark, AIA, LEED AP, as project executive for the firm’s Chicago office. He has worked as an architect with the City of Chicago for 29 years.

Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects named Kit Dailey public information specialist for the firm’s public buildings studio. She has more than 15 years of experience.

SchenkelShultz Architecture, based in Orlando, Fla., promoted Charles L. Goodman, AIA, to partner. Goodman, who is a registered architect in 20 states, has been with the firm for 20 years.

Architectural firm Smith Group hired Carolina Lopez as an associate and project manager at the firm’s architectural studio in Chicago. Lopez is responsible for providing project management leadership, quality and financial performance support.

Newcomb & Boyd, a multidiscipline consulting and engineering firm based in Atlanta, hired Pamela Androff as a mechanical engineer. Darren Draper rejoined the firm as a commissioning engineer.

H20 Applied Technologies, a Boston-based energy conservation company, named George West as president. West has more than 20 years of experience in the energy and performance contract markets, and spent 14 years at Siemens Buildings Technologies as vice president and head of the security solutions division.

Skanska USA Building Inc. promoted Craig Eckert to vice president of operations. Eckert, who has 15 years of experience, will work out of the construction company’s Nashville, Tenn., office.

Suffolk Construction Co. hired Yakir Siegal as head of strategic planning. Siegal will oversee human resources, learning and development functions for the Boston-based company.

Triton Construction, of Garden City, N.Y., named Stan Pearson as division manager. He has more than 30 years of construction industry experience and previously served as senior vice president and head of project development at Barney Skanska Construction.

Gilbane Building Co., headquartered in Providence, R.I., promoted James Arends, LEED AP, to regional business development manager; Michael Brown to vice president, special projects group; and Douglas Lim to district manager for public sector business development and operations in the Midwest.

Sierra Detention Systems’ founder and former president, Russell Pilcher, assumed the role of CEO at the detention equipment and security electronics firm based in Golden, Colo. Pilcher, who previously worked with Southern Steel, has 43 years of experience in the detention industry.

Matrix Systems, a Dayton, Ohio-based provider of access control and security solutions, named Jim Russell as vice president of sales and marketing. Russell is a former director of national accounts for Stanley Security Solutions’ mechanical division and has 20 years of security industry experience. Matrix Systems also hired Rick Oskam as regional sales manager for the Northeast.

BI Inc., a monitoring technologies, treatment and training programs provider based in Boulder, Colo., named Robert Murnock as Northeast area sales manager. Murnock, who will be responsible for business development and account manager support, has more than 13 years of experience in the criminal justice market.

Wagner Companies, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of architectural and industrial metal products, appointed Richard Kettler as president and COO of manufacturing and distribution operations. He joined the company in 2000 as operations manager and formerly served as executive vice president. Kettler succeeds Robert Wagner, who moved from president to chairman and CEO.

Blackhawk Products Group, a manufacturer of tactical equipment based in Norfolk, Va., promoted Tom O’Sullivan, U.S. Army retired, to director of international business. Formerly Blackhawk’s director of government and military programs, O’Sullivan will work to establish strategic business partnerships and develop new sales channels.

The American Subcontractors Association elected Kerrick Whisenant as treasurer for 2009-10. Whisenant is preconstruction director at Cornerstone Detention Products Inc., of Huntsville, Ala.

Rotondo Weirich’s William Franklin, Carolyn Davis and Michael Pagnanelli were recognized as LEED Accredited Professionals by the USGBC. Franklin is director of business development at the precast concrete modular housing manufacturer. Davis is chief estimator and Pagnanelli is a project manager.

Tnemec Company Inc., of Kansas City, Mo., a manufacturer of high-performance protective coatings for specialized architectural markets named Terry Wallace vice president of sales. Wallace, who joined the firm with the acquisition of Chemprobe Technologies in 1999, will manage of the sales and customer service departments.
