Enrique Rodriguez

Captain Enrique Rodriguez of the Miami-Dade, Fla., Corrections and Rehabilitation Department received the Patriot Award from the Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve in recognition of his assistance in military service. Rodriguez entered the School of Justice at Miami-Dade Community College and attended the Correctional Officer Training Academy. He has been assigned to various positions, including the monitored release unit, court services unit, and the Inmate Transportation Bureau. In 2000, Rodriguez was promoted to correctional corporal and was later appointed to the rank of correctional sergeant. Rodriguez was again promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 2008 and occupied that position until his appointment as captain three years later. Currently, he is assigned as the facility supervisor of the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. With a degree in International Business from North Central College, Rodriguez has been an assessor for the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission since 2008.
