Michael Griffiths is now the executive director of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. Previously, Griffiths served as the Juvenile Services Director for Dallas County from 1995 through 2010, where he was responsible for 1,000 employees, managing a $52 million annual budget, and assisting 10,000 families annually. Griffiths holds a Master of Public Administration from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Science from Sam Houston State University. He serves as an adjunct instructor at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas and as a consultant with Mel Brown and Associates in Conroe and the Annie E Casey Foundation in Baltimore, Md.
