Calvin B. Johnson

Corizon has named Calvin B. Johnson, M.D., M.P.H., as its new chief medical officer. Johnson is the former executive vice president and chief medical officer for MinSec Companies. Previously, he was an assistant professor of pediatrics at Temple University School of Medicine and has served as a practicing pediatrician at Temple University Children’s Medical Center. In 2003, Johnson was named the 24th Secretary of Health for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where he allocated more than $350 million to research projects in the fields of vaccine development, regenerative medicine and antibiotic resistance. Johnson earned a degree in chemistry from Morehouse College, and completed his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University, where he also earned a master of public health.
