For his long history of personal dedication to construction excellence, and for turning challenging situations into teaching moments, Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P) awarded Denny Pehrson the ENR Mountain States’ 2014 Legacy Award. Pehrson is the firm’s most senior superintendent and resident field mentor with more than 57 year’s of experience in the correctional construction industry. Though he officially retired in 2010 after 45 years with the company, Pehrson still maintains a regular schedule of site visits to share wisdom, motivate field staff and make sure safety is the highest priority. Pehrson’s crop of past A&P protégés includes the firm’s senior vice president, general superintendent of the Colorado operations and many others.
