Linda Bryant

Virginia Deputy Attorney General Linda Bryant is the new assistant superintendent of the Hampton Roads Regional Jail in Portsmouth, Va., managing the facility’s compliance, accreditation and legal matters. Bryant served as a deputy attorney general, criminal justice and public safety, for two years before taking on her new role. Prior to that, she spent more than 17 years as deputy commonwealth’s attorney for Norfolk, Va. Additionally, Bryant served in the U.S. Army, where she trained as a parachutist and was a captain with the seventh Transportation Group. She has also served as an adjunct professor at William and Mary Law School.
