Stuart Hudson

Stuart Hudson has been named as the interim director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) after the departure of Gary Mohr who has served as its director since 2011. Hudson was sworn in as Interim Director on Friday, Aug. 31, and previously served as the managing director of Healthcare and Fiscal Operations for the ODRC. After graduating from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, criminology, and corrections, Hudson began his career with the ODRC as a parole officer in 1994. Between 1999 and 2004 he held the positions of inspector at the Mansfield Correctional Institution, inspector and correctional warden’s assistant at the Trumbull Correctional Institution, and deputy warden of administration at the Lorain Correctional Institution. In 2004, he was appointed to the position of chief for the Office of Construction, Activation, and Maintenance for the agency. Between 2005 and 2010, Hudson served as the warden for the Mansfield Correctional Institution and the Pickaway Correctional Institution. In 2010 he was appointed as chief of Medical Services. In 2013 he was appointed as the managing director of Healthcare and Fiscal Operations, where he was responsible for all healthcare operations and the overall ODRC fiscal management.
