Carol Holland

Dewberry recently announced that Carol Holland has been hired in the firm’s Baltimore, Md. office as an associate vice president and market segment leader in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Holland brings more than two decades of experience of technical and executive management in the AEC industry for federal, public, and private-sector clients. She served as the deputy program manager for the Pentagon Renovation Program, and helped the team complete the renovation on time and on budget post 9/11. The project represented a phased occupied renovation of the largest office building in the world at the time. She was also involved in the provision of program management, civil engineering, and construction management on several aspects of the long-term control plan to reduce combined sewer overflows for D.C. Water. Holland earned a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (1995) and a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy (1989). She is a professional engineer in California, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as a LEED certified professional and certified construction manager. Holland is a member of the Construction Managers Association of America (CMAA) and serves as the vice president of the National Capital Region Chapter and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). A Navy veteran, Holland has extensive facilities engineering experience on military assignments throughout the world, including Japan, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.
