The TMM-441 Touchscreen Master Module from Harding Instruments was designed for use with the company’s DXI and DXL correctional intercom systems. The TMM-441 is a compact desktop unit that provides a speaker with volume control, a gooseneck or flush mount microphone, a push-to-talk switch with contacts for an external footswitch, and a front-mounted headset jack.

Etech Controls Corp. offers medical staff a way to check on inmate patients using an audio and visual intercom system. A panel in the hallway features an intercom that is linked to the cell, shower or bathroom and the conversation is linked to the nurse’s station. Inside the cell, the inmate has an intercom for audio communication and an optional LED control pane for visual observation.

Harding Instruments Co.’s DXL is the newest member of the Microcomm family of digital intercom systems. The system facilitates secure and clear communication with inmates, correctional officer and visitors. A variety of master stations and intercom stations are available to satisfy the needs of virtually any installation.

For customers installing a new system, the company recommends its 400-series DXL solution. This series carries both audio and switch status on a single supervised wiring pair and provides microphone amplification at the station.
