UV Light System

Triatomic Environmental Inc. manufactures the Fresh-Aire UV Commercial Series germicidal UV light system for improving indoor air quality. The system saves energy and reduces maintenance by controlling growth on cooling coils. Its power supply uses a high frequency electronic ballast design and can accept voltages from 120-277 VAC. Its power supply is water resistant and can be mounted directly in the air handler for smaller areas of installation.

The system can be applied to commercial air systems up to 200 tons.

Cortec Corporation introduces S-14 Bio, an additive that combats scale and corrosion in cooling towers or closed- and open-loop recirculating cooling systems. It combines a scale inhibitor with corrosion protection across a span of metals, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metals. The non-toxic, biodegradable additive is formulated for low-molecular-weight natural polymer components, GRAS substances and food-approved preservatives. It is available in 5-gallon containers, 55-gallon metal drums, 275-gallon liquid totes and in bulk.

The product measures carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, temperature and relative humidity for determining the amount of dilution air applied to each space. An optional photo-ionization sensor measures volatile organic compounds down to the low ppb range.

Spirax Sarco has added the APT14HC to its line of automatic pump traps.

Designed to aid heat transfer and eliminate irregular temperature control, corrosion, noises and water hammer, the product collects and removes condensate as it forms in equipment such as process vessels, heat exchanges, heaters and vacuum and temperature controlled equipment.

The steam-powered trap does not require any electrical power, making it suitable for hazardous environments. The product can be used at a maximum temperature of 388 F and a maximum pressure of 200 psi.

A new humidity control unit from Munters Moisture Control Services combines cooling and desiccant dehumidification technologies in one energy-efficient system to control dew point temperatures in hot and humid climates. The unit is ideal for structural drying, temporary humidity control in building construction, and condensation corrosion control in surface preparation and coating applications.

The unit removes humidity with a packaged refrigeration system that is used in conjunction with an active titanium silica gel desiccant wheel.
