Arizona to Re-issue 5,000-bed RFP

PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Corrections plans to re-issue a Request for Proposals for the construction and management of 5,000 prison beds in the near future, but it is not yet known when.

“There is no date, but it will be soon,” said the agency’s director of communications Barrett Marson. “We are still trying to figure it out, but we are hopeful that it will be soon.”

TORONTO — Ontario officials recently issued a request for proposals from three short-listed design-build consortia to finance, design, build and maintain a new consolidated courthouse in Thunder Bay.

The proposed multi-story courthouse, which will be constructed on a downtown brownfield site and designed to achieve at least LEED Silver certification, will incorporate 15 courtrooms, four conference and settlement rooms and video conferencing and arraignment capabilities.
