Emerging Leaders
This award honors professionals who, early in their careers, are already demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation and influence across the corrections and justice landscape.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Winners of this prestigious award are dedicated to driving improvement and innovation. They are longtime leaders, mentors and collaborators who constantly strive for progress.
Product of the Year
The Product of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding product, technology, system, material, or solution that is making a measurable impact on the justice, corrections, law enforcement, and public safety industry.
Correctional Leader of the Year
The Correctional Leader of the Year award honors an executive-level county or state correctional professional whose leadership, service and commitment have made a meaningful and measurable impact.
Correctional Staff Member of the Year
The Correctional Staff Member of the Year Award honors a corrections or detention staff member (at the state or county level) who has made significant contributions to their department.
Design Firm of the Year
The Design Firm of the Year Award recognizes an architecture or engineering firm that exemplifies excellence, leadership and sustained impact in the design of corrections and justice facilities.
The Facility of the Year Award recognizes a standout corrections or justice facility. Projects must have been featured as a 2026 Correctional News Facility of the Month project to be eligible.
Anyone! Correctional News welcomes nominations from individuals or those representing a company or organization.
Anonymous nominations will not be accepted.
You are welcome to nominate peers, colleagues, corrections professionals and other industry leaders across the architecture, engineering, construction, vendor, subcontractor, manufacturer and facility owner/operator spectrum.
Specific criteria are outlined on each award page.
There is no limit on nominations. You may nominate as many people for awards as you like.

Honorees will be selected according to the specific criteria outlined for each individual award.
Winners will be announced at the 2026 Corrections Summit. They will be honored in the January/February 2027 issue of Correctional News and on social media.
