Tarrant County Selects Juvenile Center Design Team
FORT WORTH, Texas — The Tarrant County Commissioner’s Court recently named Omaha, Neb.-based HDR — together with locally based LBL Architects — to plan and design a major expansion and alterations to the county’s Scott D. Moore Juvenile Center in Fort Worth. Plans call for the center to be completed in 2019.




In recent years, the line between correctional facilities and mental health facilities has blurred. Jails and prisons are now some of the largest de facto mental health providers in the country, and many county jails in dense metro areas are seeing more inmates in need of mental health services.
