Joan Daly

The Montana Department of Corrections (MDC) has selected Joan Daly as the new warden for Montana Women’s Prison. Daly’s years of service serving as a leader in mental health care will assist in the rehabilitation on Montana inmates. Prior to her career in corrections, Daly served as an associate administrator at Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs, Mont. for about four years and spent seven years as director of psychiatry at the Billings Clinic, also in Montana. Daly continued on to become the director of the Community Crisis Center for Yellowstone Healthcare Alliance in Billings and also held the position of director of clinical outpatient services at Youth Dynamics Inc. from 1998 to 2000. Daly holds a bachelor’s degree in extended psychology as well as a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Montana State University Billings.
