AURORA, Colo. — The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) recently held its second annual Prisons and Correctional Facilities West conference. This year the event was held in Aurora, right outside of Denver.
MCI Fibers are the latest addition to the line of concrete reinforcement products offered by Cortec Corporation.
Made from polypropylene and hydrophobic materials, the fibers are designed to shred when mixed into concrete, reducing shrinkage cracking.
The product’s corrosion inhibitors are attracted to embedded metal surfaces, forming a molecular layer that protects rebar, galvanized steel and other metals from corrosion.
