Company Patents Integrated Biometric System
DENVER – A company called id-Confirm Inc. recently announced it filed a new U.S. patent application for the integration of non-specific biometric identification devices into its identification, authentication and security system.
The application covers use of portable devices that biometrically identify the user and communicate and compare that information with a non-biometrically stored identification methodology. The application also encompasses the storage, retrieval, parsing and comparison of the authentication information using geographically dispersed authentication centers.
Additional patents are planned for filing, covering specific processes in which id-Confirm’s process and products can be used. Since early February, the company has discussed and demonstrated the use of its system to several types of institutions, including prisons and jails.
