TV One offers wall-mountable, 7″ flat-screen television monitors that can be sold to inmates as a behavioral incentive. The space-saving units support worldwide TV standards and satisfy a wide variety of viewing applications, including cable or programs approved by the institution.

The low-radiation and low power-consumption units are available in a transparent casing that hinders inmates from using the units to conceal contraband. Optional mounting kits have no removable parts, the company says. The units can also be used with headphones.

In the product’s first application in a correctional setting, inmates at a medium-security state prison pay the commissary for the flat-screen with $300 earned from prison jobs. Officers at the facility report that TV-viewing in cells reduces the number of inmate disputes over communal televisions.
