CompuDyne Projects Reach Almost $30 Million

ANNAPOLIS , Md. — CompuDyne Corporation, a manufacturer of security products, integration and technology for the public security markets, was awarded a $7.9 million project by the Wyoming Medium Institution in Torrington, Wyo.


Institutional Security Systems, one of the company’s four branches, will be responsible for providing all equipment and services for the project, including 366 MaxWall prefabricated modular steel jail cells.


ISS will also provide security hardware, pneumatic locking devices and electronic security systems. The project began in June and is slated for completion in October of 2009.


The Wyoming project brings CompuDyne’s total awards for May 2007 to approximately $30 million, with $16 million coming from ISS. Public Safety & Justice, another company branch, had $14.5 million in contracts and maintenance renewals. The third segment, Integrated Electronic Systems, had $1.7 million in new contracts. The final branch, Attack Protection, had $1.5 million in new contracts for the month, of which almost $1 million was spent on the company’s Fiber SenSys perimeter alarm system company.
