Large Diameter Security Nut

The Tanner Trident Security Nut is a tamper-resistant internally threaded fastening device featuring a conical design that prevents unauthorized removal. The nut has three indented slots for installation and removal with a proprietary tool.

In addition to standard sizes ranging from #10-24 through 1/2 inch and 6mm, 8mm and 10mm, Trident nuts are now in stock in large diameter sizes 5/8 inch, ¾ inch, 7/8 inch and 1 inch. The large diameter nuts are offered in both Zamak 5 Zinc Alloy and 4140 Alloy Steel.

Zinc Casting Alloys are durable and have good strength. They are lightweight, rust proof and corrosion resistant. Zamak 5 has the highest impact strength of all the zinc-based alloys. The 4140 is one of the chromium, molybdenum, manganese low alloy steels noted for toughness, good torsional strength and good fatigue strength.
