Richard Meunier
Richard Meunier was recently chosen to represent the Rhode Island Department of Corrections as Deputy Warden of the Anthony P. Travisono Intake Service Center. In his new position, Meunier will oversee inmate life issues by implementing visits, medical treatments, and the Lifeline Peer Suicide Prevention Program. Meunier began his career with RIDOC in 1985 as a Correctional Officer and was then promoted to Correctional Officer Lieutenant of the John J. Moran Medium Security Facility in 1993. He was responsible for supervising the Special Community Outreach Education Program, running the Correctional Industries program, and administering inmate jobs. In 2010, he was appointed a 3-day rule Deputy Warden for six months and was appointed to the Minimum Security Facility. Meunier received a Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological School of New England in 2009 and a bachelor’s degree in Theology from the Bible Way Institute of New England in Worcester in 2003.
