Deborah Faulkner
Deborah Faulkner was officially sworn in as the new chief of police for Franklin, Tenn. Faulkner had previously served as the community’s interim chief. She is the first women to serve in the position and was selected from more then 70 candidates. Faulkner is a former state inspector general and a retired metro police officer in Nashville, where she served in the patrol division and was named deputy chief of police. She received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Memphis and later earned a master’s degree in criminal justice and law enforcement administration from Middle Tennessee State University, as well as a doctorate in education from Vanderbilt University.
