Thybar Corporation now offers new, competitively priced, laser cut, all welded construction Retro-mate adapters, which provides a fast, cost-effective method of replacing rooftop HVAC units on a variety of facilities, including corrections. When an old rooftop unit is removed, the Retro-mate is installed on top of the existing curb to adapt it to the new rooftop unit. This considerably reduces installation time with work often being accomplished in hours rather than days. Existing ductwork is used for even further savings. Thybar also offers a superior weld with the tightest tolerances available through advanced laser technology. The Retro-mate is factory prefabricated of heavy gauge galvanized or Galvalume steel. It includes insulation, transitions, baffles and structural supports that mate the new rooftop unit to the existing curb and ductwork.
