Correctional-Specific Laminate
Designed to meet specific levels of containment within detention facilities, Makrolon Hygard CG laminates offer superior performance compared to all glass or glass-clad polycarbonate products. In the event of an attack, Makrolon Hygard Ballistic and Containment Grade laminates will not spider web or spall allowing for complete vision, which can be critical for appropriate response from control and correctional officers. Makrolon Hygard CG laminates can also be used with laminated or tempered glass in air space systems. These systems offer two distinct advantages over competitive glass-clad polycarbonate: reduction of stress levels caused by dissimilar material lamination and lower replacement costs due to the replaceable glass portion.
