Armor Health Names Regional VP of Client Relations
National correctional healthcare provider Armor Health has appointed Tamara Taylor, RN, CCHP as the company’s first Regional Vice President of Client Relations.
In this newly created position, Taylor will focus on strengthening the company’s partnerships and serving as a senior point of contact for the sheriffs’ offices, counties and agencies Armor serves.
Taylor is a registered nurse who has spent more than 25 years in correctional healthcare. She joined Armor in June 2021 as Regional Vice President, overseeing medical staff across jail sites in Florida, Texas, Georgia and Ohio. She previously held regional director and program management roles for another correctional healthcare provider. She also previously served as an administrator of a large state correctional healthcare facility.
Taylor began her correctional healthcare career in 1999 as a licensed practical nurse at the Okaloosa County Department of Corrections in Florida. She has also served as a Florida model jail inspector and a certified correctional officer over the course of her career.
“I started on a jail housing unit, so I have seen this work from the floor up,” Taylor said in a press release from Armor Health. “We are working with more partners than ever, and this role gives them a direct line to someone who knows their challenges and what they are dealing with in a correctional environment.”
