Ligature-Resistant Fire Extinguisher Cabinet
The Guardsman™ Series Ligature-Resistant Fire Extinguisher Cabinet from JL Industries, an Activar Construction Products Group brand, provides secure fire extinguisher storage for correctional, behavioral health and other high-security institutional environments requiring enhanced safety precautions. Designed to minimize ligature risks and unauthorized access, the cabinet features angled trim, a lockable solid door and concealed hinges. Available in recessed, semi-recessed and surface-mounted configurations, the Guardsman accommodates many 10- and 20-pound fire extinguishers. Construction options include powder-coated steel and stainless steel, with multiple locking mechanisms and finishes available. An optional Fire-FX2 configuration provides a UL-listed membrane penetration firestop system rated for up to two hours, supporting fire protection requirements in secure facilities.
