Southern Folger Names Winner of 2011 Facility of the Year

SALT LAKE CITY — Southern Folger Detention Equipment Company has selected the Salt Lake County Metro Jail in Utah as their choice for the 2011 Facility of the Year.

Southern Folger is a leading company in product design, facility construction, service, repair and retrofit for the correctional industry. Southern Folgers’ equipment and workmanship can be found in thousands of facilities around the world.

The Southern Folger Award of Excellence has been presented to correctional facilities since 2007. According to the company, Southern Folger constantly has sales managers, superintendents and technicians in countless facilities. Southern Folger asks employees to review the facilities they have worked at based upon how well the facility is operated, organized, maintained and presentable, as well as the level of professionalism displayed by the staff of the facility. From there Southern Folger selects nominees for the Facility of the Year award.

This year the company was pleased to announce that Salt Lake County Adult Detention Center would be named the 2011 winner of the prestigious Southern Folger Award.
