HDR has named Dr. Samantha “Sam” Morin the firm’s Senior Clinical Planner, Correctional Health. A licensed clinical forensic psychologist with experience in behavioral health and juvenile justice, Morin will serve as HDR’s subject matter expert on healthcare delivery in correctional environments.

Morin most recently served as a licensed clinical psychologist and clinical administrator with Dartmouth Health, helping lead clinical and operational development at New Hampshire’s sole secure juvenile treatment facility. She oversaw clinical services, developed evidence-based programming and led initiatives supporting trauma-informed care and positive youth development.

“My experience working inside secure treatment environments has taught me that the physical environment, operational flow, staffing, programming and clinical practice are deeply interconnected,” Morin said.

At HDR, she will support multidisciplinary design teams in balancing security and safety with privacy, behavioral health needs, trauma-informed care and efficient clinical workflows to create therapeutic and dignified spaces.

Her juvenile justice reform experience includes chairing the New Hampshire Juvenile Justice Reform Commission and co-chairing the Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators (CJJA) Behavioral Health Committee. She has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and regularly presents at the American Psychology-Law Society’s annual conference.

Morin earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Fordham University, with a concentration in forensic psychology.
