FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM

Extreme CCTV International Inc. announced the release of its FR series for 24-hour facial recognition surveillance.


Designed for use in government, defense and restricted access environments, the product captures evidentiary video that can be used with facial recognition software for identification purposes.


The camera installs directly into a light switch box and can be concealed beneath a décor plate. If used in conjunction with an infrared illuminator, the camera is able to capture images in low-light conditions.

PRINT SCAN SYSTEM

The Cross Match ID 500 is a portable, live scan system available from Cross Match Technologies Inc.


Using an integrated touchscreen display, the automated system senses the placement of a finger and captures the image without manual intervention or keystrokes. A built-in magnetic stripe reader scans demographic data from a driver’s license to reduce booking time.


Resolution of captured images is approximately 500 dpi.

Omnikey, a manufacturer of smart card readers, has developed a PC-linked desktop reader that is specifically designed to work with a standard HID proximity card. The CardMan 5125 reads the unique card number from any HID proximity card. Based on a 125 kHz RFID interface that reads the card number from HID proximity cards, the product allows organizations to implement new PC-linked applications without the need to re-badge cardholders.


The reader is compatible with a range of systems, from a 26-bit format to a Corporate 1000 format.

Proximity Reader

Secura Key announces the release of the newest product in the e*Tag family of 13.56 MHz RFID readers. The ET8-WTD is designed to mount into a standard electrical box and use a Decora-style faceplate. Available in white and ivory, the reader meets the aesthetic requirements of many business applications.


The readers work with DES-encrypted cards and key tags from the manufacturers, but can also read any ISO 15693 RFID tag. The industry-standard Wiegand output makes this reader compatible with most access control systems.
