Tulsa Swears in New Sheriff, Continues Jail Expansion
TULSA, Okla. — Sheriff Vic Regalado was sworn in April 11 as the new sheriff of the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, winning the general election to complete the remainder of former Sheriff Stanley Glanz’s term.




TULSA, Okla. — Construction on the 43,000-square-foot expansion of the Tulsa County Jail, formally known as the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center, begins this month, following a groundbreaking ceremony for the project that occurred on April 20.
CERES, Calif. — A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Aug. 15 for the $113 million expansion to the Public Safety Center in Ceres, located outside of Modesto. It is the largest capital project launched by the Stanislaus County government.
QUINCY, Calif. — Plumas County Sheriff Greg Hagwood has been on a quest for a new jail since becoming interim sheriff in 2009.
When completed in July 2013, the new 160-bed Calaveras County Jail and Sheriff’s Office in San Andreas, Calif., will be a welcome relief.
