Hamilton County Jail Expansion Breaks Ground to Address Overcrowding
The Hamilton County Jail expansion broke ground recently in response to the overcrowding of the facility. The 25-year-old Hamilton County Jail currently maintains the capacity of 300 inmates, yet well exceeds that amount with its current 400 inmates occupying the facility.




COVELO, Calif. — County jails will be competing for the about $500 million from Governor Jerry Brown’s 2015-2016 budget proposal allotted to the latest round of facilities funding to help offset the effects of California realignment, aka AB 109.
