New Name, Products for Correctional Glazier
SELMA, Ala. – Globe Amerada Architectural Glass recently announced it has changed its name Global Security Glazing, launched a branding campaign to support the new corporate identity, and is planning the introduction of new products.
The 62-year-old company, which offers glass specification assistance to architects, engineers and security consultants, has installed products in over 2,060 correctional institutions. The company also owns Standard Bent Glass Corp. and Standard Bent Metal Inc.
“The name change reflects our growth in recent years,” said Kent Hartley, part owner and COO. He says Global Security Glazing has increased their production capabilities to include a new glass tempering line with an 84″ x 180″ size capacity, and a spandrel glass line has been incorporated into their laminating and insulating capabilities. In addition, the company has plans to announce the addition of two new laminating lines in 2005.
The firm’s former name of Globe Amerada Architectural Glass was granted with limited permission by Globe-Amerada Glass Co., and will no longer be used by Global Security Glazing.
