VINE can relate custody, court, or arrest information in a matter of minutes anywhere in the United States via telephone, pager, e-mail, fax, or letter via the national VINE Communication Center, the company reports.
The system allows criminal justice agencies to provide a community service by notifying crime victims of a change in an offender’s status including release/transfer, escape, court event, or arrest notification. The system also offers notification capabilities 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year.
