California Delays Execution Indefinitely

The execution Michael Morales, a convicted rapist and murderer, was delayed indefinitely because prison officials say they cannot follow a federal judge’s guidelines for administering the death penalty.

California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation officials say the execution will be delayed until all parties involved have time to study the judge’s order and debate the best way to carry out executions in the state, reports The New York Times.
