Glass Laminates

GE Advanced Materials has expanded its line of safety and security products with transparent armor laminates for glazing applications: Armorgard, Suregard and Lexgard laminates. The laminates were created specifically for protecting detention centers, guard and correctional officer stations, armored vehicles and other facilities.

The lightweight laminates are heat and impact resistant, while providing energy absorption and anti-spall properties. The laminates meet ASTM, UL, HP White, NIJ and European standards. They are designed to withstand up to 57 pounds per square inch of pressure and gunfire from weapons ranging from 9-mm handguns to 7.62 NATO high-powered rifles.
