ESCAPE HOOD

The Parat-C, a smoke escape hood for fire victims, is available from Draeger Safety Inc.

Designed for self-rescue and victim evacuation purposes, the hood protects the wearer for a minimum of 15 minutes from smoke, carbon monoxide and toxic gases usually present during a fire.

The product is made from flame-retardant PVC materials and is bright orange in color, to aid in visibility. The hood comes with a viewing panel treated with anti-misting agents and does not include a mouthpiece, so the wearer can breath and speak normally. One universal size fits children and adults.
