Compudyne Names New Norment Security President
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Compudyne Corp. announced the appointment of Greg Ergenbright as president and CEO of its Alabama-based subsidiary Norment Security Group.
Norment, which specializes in integrated detention hardware and security electronics solutions for the corrections and justice markets, is one of six security-oriented subsidiaries operated by Compudyne.
“First off, I want to get out to our field offices and talk to contractors and customers in order to find out what we do well and to look for ways to improve our delivery of products and services,” Ergenbright says.
A former regional general manager at UTC-Otis Elevator Company, Ergenbright brings 15 years of experience in sales and management to his new lead role with the detention systems contractor.
Regardless of the industry, the importance of having quality products and people, and of good relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers remain the same, Ergenbright says.
“These principals are fundamental to any construction industry,” he says.
Headquartered in Annapolis, Md., Compudyne is a manufacturer and integrator of physical and electronic security products and services for the federal, state, local and commercial markets.
“Coming from Otis, Greg has an extensive background that includes working with a known industry leader and provider of capital equipment to the construction industry as a subcontractor on large-scale construction projects,” says Bernie Demko, COO of Compudyne Corp.
