$60 million Keybank and Navajo partnership governed by Navajo law

KeyBank and the Navajo Nation announced a $60 million loan to be used to construct new judicial and correctional facilities in Crownpoint, N.M. and Tuba City, Ariz. The loan is believed to be the first major institutional financing deal governed exclusively by tribal laws and subject to tribal jurisdiction, in full recognition of the Navajo Nations sovereign status.
