County officials bracing for ‘difficult’ budget year

Herkimer, N.Y. — Herkimer County officials are bracing themselves for a difficult 2011 budget. County Administrator James Wallace said Friday expense projections for Medicaid, health insurance and state pension fund contributions have him “concerned” at the start of the budget process.
