McKenna Selected as CN Publisher
Emlen Media Inc. is pleased to name Joe McKenna as publisher of its four publications, including Correctional News (CN). He will oversee circulation, sales and business development, client relationships, budgets and production.
Prior to joining Emlen Media, McKenna held various positions in the construction and services industries. For nearly seven years, he worked in business development for Oldcastle Precast and Security, advising owners, general contractors, architects and vendors on trends, products, strategy and detailed analysis.
“Joe will certainly be missed at Oldcastle but we see this as a great extension of his experience in the market. He is a natural for the role of publisher of Correctional News,” said Doug Bruhns, vice president at Oldcastle Precast. “We are extremely excited for Joe and the opportunity this presents for him.”
“Correctional News is on solid ground, enjoying both circulation and ad revenue growth,” said Eli Gage, former publisher of Correctional News.
“As we build the brand for 2013, I’m pleased to have a seasoned professional like Joe to lead the team. He brings a fresh and results-oriented approach to business and has a proven track record of success.”
Along with joining CN, McKenna will also work as the publisher of School Construction News (print and digital), and Emlen Media’s two electronic deliverables, Green Building News and Healthcare Construction+Operations News.
McKenna earned an MBA from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Science in economics from Temple University.
