Mike Anders

Mike Anders has been named the new deputy chief for the Naperville Police Department’s patrol division, where he will manage more than 160 employees responding to both emergency and non-emergency incidents. Anders was previously the department’s patrol watch commander, prior to which he served in multiple roles, including patrol officer, major crimes investigator, patrol and traffic section sergeant and special response team commander. Anders has distinguished himself by developing the department’s violent encounter staff training, and creating a continuity of operations plan for emergency management. He graduated from Winona State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and has completed several professional development courses at Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety.
