Locking Device

The D-Lock from Schlage, a division of Ingersoll-Rand’s Safety and Security Sector, is now available. Testing on the new lock has shown it to exceed ANSI requirements after three million cycles, the company reports. The steel lock exceeds ANSI strength minimums by 40 percent and is twice-and in some cases up to five times-stronger than industry benchmarks for strength and durability, Schlage says.

The locking device is designed to install in less than two minutes and is available in a variety of finishes and trim designs. The Design Verification Test (DVT) series has tested the new D-Lock for cycle durability, lever snap, and lever play at half-million cycle increments, warped door, and cylindrical impact.
