County considers long-term jail solution (Tribune & Georgian)

THE LOT THAT currently stands empty at the corner of Fifth Street and Georgia Avenue in Woodbine is slated to be the site of a 100-bed addition to the county jail. But some city residents oppose the construction and asked the county Tuesday to reconsider its approval of the expansion.
