Vacuum Plumbing
AcornVac, a division of Acorn Engineering Co., offers a vacuum plumbing and waste removal system for secure facilities. The system is engineered to use differential air pressure to transport waste from plumbing fixtures, such as toilets, urinals, sinks and showers, through a piping network to a vacuum center for discharge into a sewer or waster treatment plant. The system’s vacuum toilets require a half-gallon of water per flush, reducing facility water usage and sewage disposal costs, according to the company. The system incorporates small diameter waste and potable water piping, which can reduce material and labor costs compared to conventional plumb.
