Calif. Delays Awarding Death Row Contract
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation announced late Wednesday that it has again delayed awarding a contract for the first phase of a new $356 million death row complex at San Quentin State Prison.
The extension of the period of award is for another 30 days and is the second such delay in a month.

CDCR Launches Parolee Resource Directory to Avert Recidivism
SACRAMENTO — The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation launched an online Community Resource Directory for parolees, their families and other community members in an effort to help offenders successfully reintegrate into their neighborhoods and reduce recidivism.
This new database makes a wealth of information available to help parolees find housing, jobs and services they need to turn their lives around and stay out of prison,” says Elizabeth Siggins, chief deputy secretary at CDCR for adult programs.
