 Wilmot  Lima  Grabinsky  Polakowski

Richard W. Wilmot, a retired U.S. Army Brigadier General, has joined Durrant as their Homeland Security Specialist. Wilmot brings 35 years of military and corporate leadership and operations experience to the firm. He has work experience with the Department of Defense, the Department of Health Education and Welfare, and the U.S. State Department, among other government agencies. Wilmot’s responsibilities are to explore and develop business and partnering opportunities primarily in the homeland security area.

Gustavo A. Lima, AIA, has been promoted to associate principal of Cannon Design. Lima has more than 25 years of experience in architecture and construction management and has worked on a broad base of projects in several different markets. He was named director of construction administration in 2003 and he currently oversees more than 200 projects annually with a total construction value of more than $1 billion.

Loren M. Grabinsky was promoted to senior associate at consulting Engineering Services. Grabinsky, who is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, joined CES in 1997 and leads a multi-discipline design team of engineers that specializes in municipal building and education projects. He has 15 years’ experience in electrical engineering and lighting design. In 2001, he received the Illuminating Design Excellence award from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.


Panasonic Security Systems has appointed William Polakowski district sales manger for the company’s southern zone, which includes Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Polakowski is now responsible for the daily activities of Panasonic Security Systems’ dealer network and Premier Integrators in those three states. He will work out of the Suwannee, Ga., office.

Nathan Skipper has joined Montgomery Technology Inc. as software solutions manager. A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in computer engineering, Skipper will head up the Protrak Jail and Records Management software division.

 Massafi  Lockwood  Ruiz  Arenofsky

Yossi Massafi was hired as general manager of DreamBox USA, a division of Magal-Senstar Inc. Massafi previously served as director of NiceVision Americas Customer Service. He is now responsible for all post-sales delivery matters, including customer service, professional service and training. DreamBox manufactures satellite receiver equipment. Magal-Senstar Inc. specializes in perimeter intrusion detection products.

Solutia Inc. announced that Nanette Lockwood was named legislative affairs manager of the company’s governmental affairs team. Lockwood joined Solutia in 2004 as hurricane market manager for the company’s laminated glazing interlayers division. She was previously director of building codes and engineering at the Institute for Business and Home Safety. Solutia specializes in films for laminated safety glass and after-market applications, among other services.

Luis C. Ruiz was named eastern zone sales manager of the products business unit of Panasonic System Solutions Company. Ruiz has worked in sales management for 17 years and has worked for Wachovia, AT&T and Exelon Corp. Ruiz will be responsible for overseeing daily activities of the company’s sales partners in the eastern region and cultivating new sales opportunities.

Brian Arenofsky has joined Continental Instruments Inc. as northeast regional sales manager. Arenofsky will be based out of Toms River, N.J., where he will assist customers in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania and Maryland. Arenofsky was previously vice president of New Jersey Burglary and Fire Alarm Association.

East Coast Metal Systems Inc. has appointed Jim Schiltz director of sales. Schiltz has 25 years of sales experience in construction and architectural products and previously served as a regional manager at Westcrowns Inc. East Coast Metal Systems specializes in fabrication and installation of architectural metal.


Donald Goens was elected to the board of directors of the American Public Communications Council Inc., a national trade association representing more than 1,200 owners, operators, suppliers and manufacturers of public communications equipment and services. Goens is the president of FSH Communications LLC, which serves general commercial and inmate services markets.


Jill McGuire, a 23-year veteran of Missouri’s state prison system, has been named the superintendent of the Tipton Correctional Center. She is one of only three female superintendents working for the state Department of Corrections. McGuire started her corrections career as an institutional parole officer before occupying several manager and supervisor positions.
